Untapped Opportunities for Energy Efficiency in Multi-family Housing, Knoxville

August 15, 2013 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm

With all the emphasis on making homes and businesses more energy efficient, multi-family housing has been too often neglected – until now! The Tennessee Energy Education Initiative is convening national and regional experts to address energy efficiency solutions specifically for multi-family builders, developers, property owners, and facility managers.

Learn how energy solutions are about much more than just saving energy. It’s time to make energy efficiency part of your multi-family business strategy!

  • Save on operations & maintenance
  • Reduce turnover & vacancy
  • Improve tenant comfort & affordability

Bill Carson, LEED-AP (BD+C), president of Sunwheel Energy + Sustainability, a McCormack Baron Salazar Company, will deliver the keynote address. As a top developer and manager of green, economically integrated, urban communities, Bill will discuss opportunities for energy efficiency developments and improvements.

A panel discussion of experts will address financing options for energy upgrades, the role of technology and the benefits of an effective energy management system, followed by a presentation about the marketing opportunities to attract and keep tenants in energy efficient properties.

Admission is free, but seating is limited. Lunch is provided.
